Marley giving Ted a lesson on ‘Respect’. Ted has a high prey drive (which includes a dogs desire to play) and he is also inexperienced in dog communication! Marley uses his energy presence and spatial pressure to teach Ted how to respect personal space when interacting.

Ted is a sharpei x mallinois and has developed aggressive behaviour towards people and reactivity to some dogs. He’s had a history of gut issues (which can be related to anxiety).

Whilst walking your dog in public show some respect for other owners. There are the odd few who are in complete denial about their dogs behaviour and think it’s ok for their dog to run up barking getting in another’s dog’s space. They have no respect and their dog funnily enough has no respect either!

Oscar has a super high prey drive and is now trained on a remote training collar for recall. He has a foundation of understanding that when he feels the stimulus he understands to stop-turn-recall. Remote collar training requires a professional to train the dog and owner on how to use it in a positive and staged way to build recall when a dog transitions from Pack drive into Prey or Defence drive.

Controlling the energy of play when dogs are off lead is essential in keeping play respectful, preventing fights from occurring

when some people introduce a new dog into their family they favour them over their other animals, allow them to have run of the house, get unearned affection whenever they want and give very little rules/boundaries…..Before you know it the dog is set up to fail by being promoted to ‘Top Dog!’ without even applying for the job!

Captain has intense fear of getting in the car following a car accident when he was travelling in the boot. So combining essential oil treatments and this practical exercise we are hoping to de-sensitise him so he becomes more comfortable at getting into the car.
