Rosie arrives for Boot Camp!

Posted by: admin | 19th September 2011

Rosie the German Shepherd arrived early this morning to join the Pack for her Rehab…after cycling, treadmill, swimming and some agility she was finally ready to meet the Pack and even squeeze in an afternoon snooze!  Rosie has come with some issues around meeting other dogs.  Unfortunately she learned to ‘Fight’ as a result of her sister attacking her which has resulted in her becoming very fearful around dogs.  So the Pack will show her how to chill out around dogs and learn that not all dogs bite!  You can take a look at how she behaved towards Riley walking past her with her owner Rachael…

Big Dogs Come to Stay

Posted by: admin | 21st August 2011

I love having big dogs come to stay with the Pack and especially when the small dogs teach them how to behave!  Nanook and Dakota are loving the pool and pulling me on the bike but it was a hot day for them today.  Got a few piccies of us all watching the sun set playing ball in the paddock last night..

Collie X Cooper Needs a Home

Posted by: admin | 5th May 2011

Cooper is a 1 yr old (approx) spayed and fully vaccinated Collie X.  I have worked with Cooper and her family to help them learn how to fulfill her needs whilst teaching her some social skills.  Although Cooper has improved a huge amount her family feel that she would be happier with someone who has the time to meet her needs and continue with her training.

Cooper needs a calm home with someone who can provide her with the assertive leadership and plenty of exercise she needs.  She currently lives with another dog but would be happier as an only dog.  Cooper is a high energy active dog and due to her breed will need to be involved in Flyball or Herding ball activities.  She loves to run, play ball and thrives on being given instruction.  Cooper is ideal for an active person who loves the outdoors and can continue with her training.  Dog Behaviour support from Jo Cottrell will be available to Cooper’s new owner to ensure Cooper has a smooth journey into her new life.

If you feel you could offer Cooper a home please call Jo Cottrell Tel: 07919400920.

Max the Working Breed Border Collie

Posted by: admin | 3rd May 2011

Border Collie’s are always a tough breed to work with when they are in a home environment, as they are working dogs and their instinctual behaviour is to work 15 hours a day herding! So it’s not unusual for clients to contact me with the same obsessive issues of chasing cars, bicycles, balls….. This time it put a smile on my face to meet Paul and Lou with their dog Max who were actually already giving him lots of exercise but just needed some help with preventing him from running off to join in on the local army rugby game !  Great to meet you guys and look forward to seeing you in a few weeks to see how you’re getting on :-D

Buddy and Lola

Posted by: admin | 3rd May 2011

It was great to catch up with Tracy and her two dogs Buddy and Lola for a follow up visit to see how they were getting on with their homework!  Buddy had a bad case of obsessive behaviour with his bed and toys and would refuse to walk on the lead with his mate Lola and Tracy…..unless it was to the grandparents for treats !  I love it when I meet dog owners who not only take on board what I teach them but are committed to bringing happiness to their life by fulfilling the needs of  their dog.  Tracy you’ve done a great job and I love that you are finding it so much fun, keep smiling :-D
