Our Dog Behaviour Consultations are an opportunity for you the owner/potential owner to learn how to achieve a calm and balanced life with your dog and iron out any issues that may be driving you mad! If you feel like your dog doesn’t listen to a word you say then chances are they don’t respect or trust you as their leader, which means they are not the dog you want them to be at the moment. Dog Trouble can change all that and show you how to get a dog that you love spending time with.

Jo Cottrell conducting a Dog Behaviour Consultation at The Dog Psychology Centre
We have helped people such as The Whitton Family learn the ‘Puppy Basics’ with Paddy their new Cairn Terrier puppy. We took Caroline and Jeremy Gilmore through ’Getting a Dog’ and what they needed to do to prepare for the arrival of their new puppy Oscar. We’ve helped Tessa the Springer Spaniel who was so anxious that she would pace around in circles and urinate; Tia the German Shepherd who wouldn’t eat; Murphy who was aggressive with other dogs; Cesar the Border Collie who would herd people entering the house….Whatever issues your dog has we can help!
We can identify the causes of any behaviour issues you may have with your dog and teach you the skills and daily routine that you need to get you and your dogs life back on track!
Available for clients with dogs that display behaviour issues including:
Consultations take between 2 – 3 hours and will be conducted in the client’s home. During the consultation, dog behaviourist, Jo Cottrell will discuss your dog’s behaviour to gain an understanding of the issues. With dog aggression cases Jo may suggest that the consultation take place at the Dog Psychology Centre, Wokingham where the Dog Trouble Pack will assist in teaching your dog how to be sociable with other dogs.
This package includes a follow-up visit in addition to your first consultation. Some dog owners find it useful to have a follow up visit to ‘fine tune’ the skills and techniques they were shown during the first session or when there are too many issues to work through in one visit. This package may be suggested to you at your consultation if it is felt appropriate.
