At last a sunny day….and I got to spend it in the Dog Bus driving to check out Jess and her owners progress! At least I had Lennox to keep me company and some groovy tunes to sing along to……although I’m not sure my singing helped with Lennox’s anxiety! He did great though and was rewarded with a countryside cycle when we got there and a swim in the lake when we got back home! Christine you’re doing great with Jess, she’s come a long way….just remember live in the moment and relax :-) We’ll see you soon!
Lennox the German Shepherd has arrived for Boot Camp with a few issues….. aggression, overexcitement and anxiety. Check out the video of his first 2 days including meeting the Pack! Will keep you posted on his progress :)

Showing Riley's owners how to take him for a cycle

Riley in full flight...Lurcher style !
Riley the Rescue Lurcher did great meeting the Pack. He gave a couple of growls but with a few corrections he soon realised he wasn’t going to get away with it! His owners learned how to cycle him and got to let him off in the enclosure where they saw him in full flight for the first time! I’ve never worked with a Lurcher before so getting to witness the speed of this breed is truly an experience you must put on your ‘To Do’ list!
Max decided to lend a hand to Pebbles (our next door neighbour’s dog) who was fear aggressive and would often be aggressive towards other dogs. He led Pebbles around the new Off Leash area whilst showing her that it was ok to hang out with other dogs without being frightened and responding with aggression..No dog is too old to learn !

What a great Sunday evening, helping Pets At Home Staff in Wokingham understand a little more about Dog Behaviour ! Max and Ellie gave me a hand to show off some of the Pets at Home products that we use whilst rehabilitating dogs at the Dog Psychology Centre.
Max also showed his fans how to walk calmly on one of their rope slip leads whilst Ellie decided to show off her favorite toy……a treat ball ! We chatted about the common things that customers ask for advice on such as bark collars, leads and toys in addition to looking at dog breeds, how to greet a dog, some common causes of dog behaviour and dog body language. Thanks to you all for making us feel so welcome and Max and Ellie want to visit again soon !

Another Puppy Basics consultation completed, this time with Jeremy and Caroline and their new Puppy Oscar the Retrizsla. (I wasn’t sure what breed it was either until I was told it’s a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Vizsla!) What a great breed! Oscar clearly knew how to use his Vizsla nose to explore and as you can see he has that beautiful golden colour of a Retriever. I was tempted to consider another addition to the Dog Trouble Pack as he has such great energy! Well done owners for selecting the right energy dog for you he’s fab!
I first met Cooper and there other dog Lily when I visited the Blythe Family for a ‘Dog Basics’ Consultation a while back. After a period of time Cooper’s owners got back in touch with some concerns about Cooper’s behaviour around other dogs. Although she seemed fine with Lily, Cooper had started to become protective of them when they were out walking and unfortunately when other dogs came up to say ‘Hi’ Cooper decided that she wasn’t in the mood and would become aggressive.
