I’m not sure what had got into the boys this morning but they were a nightmare on the walk ! Freddy just had to go everywhere Alfie went and Max had to go in completely the opposite direction ! It was so foggy first thing this morning and being working breeds the boys caught a sniff of the rabbits and were doing laps around the fruit tunnels, I could just make out the jangling of their collars to locate them!! Ellie and Jazz were perfect and I’m sure raised their eyebrows a few times at them….. See even my pack have the odd moment ! Off cycling now to exhaust them some more….enjoy the sunshine :)

Alfie’s back with the Pack ! Alfie’s family made a really tough decision this week to re-home him permanently with the Dog Trouble Pack. Due to his fear anxiety issues Alfie needs a huge amount of time and patience to overcome his fears. What better classmates to learn from than the Dog Trouble Pack ! We’ll keep you posted about his progress..
People will often stop me when I’m out with the pack to ask how I get the dogs to stay beside me when we are walking….. Well there’s no magic Rib Eye Steak in my pocket!! It’s about being patient and consistent and teaching your dog where you expect them to walk. The walk is so much more than just a physical activity for dogs, it’s where they learn about respect and trust within the pack. If you observe a pack in their natural environment where do you think the Pack leader is ?…..You guessed it – Out in front leading the Pack!

Whilst visiting the ‘Pearce Family’ we took the opportunity of showing our friend ‘Samson’ the Marmite Kong game as a treat after his cycle to collect the kids from school..He’s a handsome boy isn’t he ?!
Bella was delivered back home today to continue her final stages of rehabilitation with her owner. She has come on leaps and bounds and at 42kg is now losing weight too! With calm, confident leadership Tina I know you can show Bella who’s in charge to prevent her from thinking she has to protect you out on walks. Enjoy the exercise and keep up the cycling/jogging that she loves! Yet another dog that was misunderstood by many people but she’s shown us all that with a bit of guidance she can enjoy life in a balanced way!

“Excellent practical session with dogs that were not ‘perfect’. enthusiastic approach without patronising….Overall very good and worth the money!”

On Day 1 of Bella’s Boot Camp you could see in the video that Bella tried to attack Max. Instead of holding a grudge (like some of us humans do!) he moved forward…he did what dogs do and lived in the moment. The next couple of days the Pack were tuning in to Bella’s unbalanced energy and gave her a wide berth when they sensed imbalance. Today though with the sun shining it’s been a HUGE leap forward. Not only has she just been out on a Pack walk with the pack from start to finish but she got fed with the pack aswell ! This is a huge challenge for a dog aggressive dog and she pulled it off like she’d been having meals with them forever. What’s she doing now ? Well take a look at the picture and see for yourself…Every Day’s a Tough Day at Boot Camp ! Maybe we need to live in the moment occasionally and just go with the flow ?…
Enjoy the sunshine…..
